Coolah Tops Display
1 Jan 10
COOLAH TOPS NATIONAL PARK
It is proposed to stage in the Pandora Gallery over Easter Week 2010 a display of photographs etc. of the Coolah Tops and surrounds to showcase its attractiveness and uniqueness of the area. Easter week has been selected because of tourists in the area and a large number of visitors who will be attending the nearby Hartwood Festival.
An appeal is made for suitable photographs taken or to be taken that would be suitable for the display in all sizes, but prefer photographs that have been or may be enlarged. These may include photographs of views, waterfalls, cliffs, pinnacles, peaks, lava caves, native fauna, ferals, birds, flora particularly large trees, flowering ground cover, grass trees, fungi, geological formations, heritage huts, wombat gates and evidence remaining of previous timber and sleeper cutting activities.
Particularly sought are ground and aerial photographs of Direction Head Mount, Pulpit Head, Bundella Pinnacle, Pigeon Box Rock, Omaleah Cliffs, Lava Rock, Breeza Lookout, Shepherd Peak, Half Moan Rock, The Bluff and other outstanding features.
Some of the waterfalls in the Coolah Tops are Rocky Creek Falls, Cox Creek or Sawmill Falls, Tamilie Falls, Norfolk Falls, Lower Norfolk Falls, Bald Creek Falls, Boulder Falls, Talbragar Falls, Lower Talbragar Falls and Munmurra Falls.
Several suitable colour photographs of postcard taken several years ago have already been received. Their enlargement to A4 size has been most satisfactory for exhibition.
An appeal is made for funds to cover the cost of the display.
Donations (Marked for Coolah Tops Display) should be forward to the Coolah District Development Group Inc., PO Box 106, Coolah, NSW, 2843.
