ANZAC WEEK DISPLAY 2010
It is proposed to stage in the Pandora Gallery over Anzac Week 2010 a display of photographs, biographies, military service details and memorabilia such as letters home, newspaper cuttings, souvenirs etc. in respect of Second World War personnel who had some connection to Coolah and District, whether their was in Australia or overseas.
Besides having a list of about 400 local personnel who served during the Second World War, the Committee has no suitable information etc. at the present for display. Therefore an appeal is made for the surviving personnel, descendants and interested organisations to assist with appropriate articles for exhibition. Where applicable copies are desired and these should be forward to the undersigned, photographs to be preferably A4 size (ie. 29cms x 21cms.).
Many surviving personnel and descendants now reside outside the Coolah area. If you know their address would you please forward them a copy of or direct them to this web site (Coolah.nsw.au) or give then a call so they may present material for the display. A descendant living in an other state has already promised photographs and dossier hard copies in respect of two Coolah soldiers.
Any further information with regard the above would be greatly appreciate and may be forward to Roy Cameron (Address below) or even a ‘phone call would be appreciated by the committee.
