Coolah Spring Garden Festival
Welcome to our page!
The Coolah Spring Garden Festival is held every four years with the aim of providing funding within Coolah for projects designed to benefit the health and well-being of the local community.
The festival is held during October - next event in 2012. Generally there are six magnificent local gardens to view. Within the gardens, we have speakers on a range of garden topics, some practical demonstrations on subjects like composting and pruning as well as stalls selling a variety of products.
The local community groups not benefiting directly from funding from the weekend are offered space within the gardens to provide refreshments.
For those with green fingers, we recommend visiting our plant stall over the weekend. It is a definite must do! Several ladies from the community propagate unique and unusual plants and succulents from the local area and the gardens on display to sell over the weekend.
Recipients of funding from the Coolah Spring Garden Festival include :
The local MPS and Hostel for dementia fencing, blood pressure machines and beds.
The St Andrews Cultural Centre - purchase of new piano for Music Rooms
The Mens Shed - start up costs and tool purchases
The Bowen Oval Playground - Equipment to ensure safe play area for Children aged 1 - 15
The Hive Live - Our locally operated Gym for fitness equipment to extend the range of classes offered and health benefit of their classes
The Coolah Girl Guides - help with an Excursion to the Guide Jamboree
